From Short Hike to Urgent Care

Sunday, June 23, 2018

Off we go to the Waterloo Recreation Area, more precisely, the Eddy Discovery Center, to hike the Bog Trail.  After getting some directions from a Ranger we start off.  Earlier Bruce thought he might have gotten into some Poison Ivy, but didn't think much of it.  We were starting off and he looked at his wrist and though it wasn't bothering him, it wasn't pretty.  Turned around and Googled the closest Urgent Care Center.  It was in Jackson.  Very nice and efficient.  They checked for infection, none, then took a culture.  Prescribed and antibiotic and some Prednisone.  That kinda finished our day of hiking.  But we did drive to a Park Campground and get an annual pass for Michigan State Parks.  It was $9 each time we went to a park or $32 for the rest of 2018.
