Last night we noticed that Cali was making frequent trips to the litter box with no outcome. She did this a few years ago when we were in Florida. We called a local vet hoping to nip this in the bud, expeccially with a holiday weekend coming. First thing this morning was a trip to the Corry Veterinary Office. After an exam, shot and some medicine we have to administer she is on the mend.
We decided to drive into New York (25 minutes away) to pick up some things a our favorite store, Big Lots. The closest one being in Jamestown, New York. On our way back we passed a sign for Stateline Speedway. We love local tracks and had to check this one out. Found out they were racing tonight. Guess what we are doing tonight.
Well we got there and found out this was the fifth week they have tried to open the season. Rained out each time. Was looking good for tonight. We watched the trucks work on the track for what seemed like forever, then we saw a few hop laps. We were sitting next to a couple who were sponsors for a local favorite, #111 and she talked to us alot about him and the tracks in the area. She told us about another dirt track in Erie, The Eriez Speedway. We told her we would check it out. Then out of nowhere it started to rain. Everyone was so patient but Mother Nature said "no racing for you".
We now have tickets for next Saturday.
