Chores, "I Love Lucy" & The Stanley Cup Champs

Sunday, June 10,  Monday, June 11, & Tuesday, June 12, 2018

Sunday was another day of chores and laundry.  Being in an RV is so much like being in a house.  One has to take the time to clean, shop and do laundry.

But on Monday we went to Jamestown, NY.  This is where Lucille Ball was born and there is a really nice museum here.

We started our day with lunch at a Mexican restaurant, El Jarocho, about a block from the Museum.  This was the best Mexican food.  Then on to the Museum. It was actually two different museums.  The Lucy-Desi Museum and the Desilu Studios.  This brought back a lot of childhood memories.  I remember watching I Love Lucy on summer mornings.  When I had to miss school I always spent my morning with Lucy.

There are many murals all over town.

We visited her grave at Lake View Cemetary.  If you follow the hearts it will lead you to her grave.

Appetizers and cocktails back at the rig.  I bought a Hamilton Beach blender at a Big Lots we went to.  It is for making smoothies.  I am experimenting with frozen fruit, yogurt, and rum.  I think my experiments have been a success.

We spent all day Tuesday at the coach.  Watched the DC Parade honoring the Capitals and all the hoopla.  This is one thing we really would have liked to be at home for, but at least we were there in spirit.
