This morning started with Bruce finding someone to fix the truck windshield. He decided on Glass Doctor, but because of the Holiday and vacations, no one could get to us until Tuesday. Bruce had the window pretty well sealed in case of rain, so it just meant no high-speed driving until it was fixed.
We decided to visit the Ella Sharp Museum today in Jackson. The Ella Sharp Museum opened in 1965 in the 19th century home of Ella Merriman-Sharp. Ella willed her 530-acre property to the city of Jackson in 1912, with the understanding that a park and museum be developed for all to enjoy. We toured the house and the museum. The museum had several different displays from Art to History.
The birth of the Republican Party.
Quilt Art.
This is a small section of the tiny quilt squares that make up the picture above. |
