Went to Hell, Again

Saturday,  July 7, 2018

Hell, Michigan is a dot on the side of the road.  There is a biker bar, a gift shop, and a restaurant.  When we drove by on July 4, we literally missed it.  But I really wanted to go back so we decided to have lunch there.  What a hoot.  Had great burgers, cheap beer and then we walked around the grounds.  There were tons of people there and I am sure when they have a special event it is "hot."

One of the two theories for the name is that the founder of the town, George Reeves, was asked what he thought the town he helped settle should be named.  He replied, "I don't care.  You can call name it hell for all I care."

I am sorry, but I just can't resist this picture.  The campground had a DJ tonight at the pavilion by the pool.  We took a walk up there to check it out.  Things really didn't interest us but as we were walking back I saw in (not on) the road the flattest chipmunk ever.  It must have been run over by a really big rig.
