Labor Day Weekend

Friday, August 31 - Wednesday, September 5, 2018

We picked up Erich and Jayan at the airport on Friday evening.  Planned on having a lot of fun with Jayan and Brandon over the weekend while Erich did his Fantasy Draft stuff.  Wasn't feeling my best but it seemed to pass and we carried on.  After breakfast Saturday morning we all went to the Claude Moore Colonial Farm.  This farm is placed in the year 1771.  As we walked through the farm we saw a gentleman working  at the tobacco barn, visited with the pigs and a colonial farmhouse where food was being prepared.  Walked through a typical 1771 garden and down to the spring house.  It looked like there were many other areas to explore but they were not open.  It was an enjoyable morning.

Everyone had lunch and the boys enjoyed playing in the hot tub.

I started to not feel well again.  I just knew something wasn't right and asked Bruce to take me to the ER.  I ended up having acute pancreatitis and spent the next five days in the hospital ending with the removal of my gall bladder. Bless Candice who stepped in and the boys enjoyed the rest of their weekend.  OH well, the best-laid plans.
