Finally got an appointment for a Covid vaccine. Of course, we couldn't get the same day. Hoping this is a step to normal life once again. Bright and early to Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf. You have to grab it when you can. Fortunately, they were doing the Johnson & Johnson one-shot deal so we don't have to return for a second shot in four weeks. It was really well organized and on both days we were in and out pretty quick. The only downside was the folks giving the shots we not too gentle.
Since we had to drive so far for the vaccinations we decided to make a day of it. We visited Fort Washington on Saturday. This fort was built to defend the river approach to Washington, DC in 1808. It has stood as a silent sentry for over 20 years.
Back to Waldorf on Sunday for Bruce's turn. It was moving a little slower today but still not too bad.
After a quick Mcdonald's stop, we drove down to Colonial Beach, Virginia today. It was cold and of course, everything is still closed both due to Covid and seasonal but we enjoyed a brief walk along the beach before heading home.
