Today is my 68th birthday, but more importantly, it is Baby Shower Day. Due to the wonderful pandemic, one has to use one's imagination to do what used to be ordinary and fun things. Today we are having a drive-by baby shower for Candice and Chris. Candice's mom, Allie, has worked her tail off organizing this baby shower following all the guidelines set by our fearless leaders. It is being held in the parking lot of the community center for the area Candice's Mom and Dad live in. People are supposed to drive by to wish her the best, leave their gift and drive on. Fortunately, most people are not having it. They are parking and talking and enjoying each other as much as possible standing around a parking lot. All told it went extremely well and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.
My contribution was getting balloons and setting up the dollhouse that Mom and Dad Besmen worked so hard on for so many years only to have grandsons and great-grandsons. We are finally having a girl come into the family, so she gets the dollhouse (when she is much older).
