Today we did a tour of the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Baltimore. This was a fascinating tour. We got to see the robots retrieving orders, packaging, and delivery. Of course, no photos were allowed inside.

Health Issues-Update
June - October
Now that we are home, we were able to set up appointments quite quickly. First to my primary, Dr. Diggs. She got me set up with an ENT doctor, Valrie Asher, who had me do another cat scan and they did a hearing test. Her findings were that she didn't think it was life-threatening but really did not know what it was. The hearing test revealed that I do have some damaged hearing which I no doubt we have to deal with in the future. She then referred me to George Washington University to Dr. Monfared, a specialist in this area. The original problem of vertigo was most likely caused by vestibular neuritis. After the first visit, I had a brain MRI. The result of this after discussions with the radiologist was that it was excess bone marrow. They will want to keep an eye on this but it doesn't look like a problem. But I did find out that my clumsiness is caused by vestibular hypofunction (right middle ear doesn't work). Because he saw some white areas in my brain he wanted me to see a neurologist. That will take a while to get that appointment. Basically, I am getting old and a few parts just aren't working right.

Doctors and Train Station
Tuesday, October 1, 2019
Well, today it is back to George Washington to get the results of the big brain scan. We decided to save the $24 parking fee and take the Metro. That includes about 1 mile of walking but we need that. Plus, an added benefit is we got our old fart Senior SmartTrip Metro card.
All went pretty well, don't think I am going to keel over any time soon, but the Doctor did see a few things he didn't like so I will be seeing a Neurologist in January. As far as the now infamous mass, the doctor was meeting with the Radiologist the next day and asked me for my old scans, which they had copied earlier, so I didn't bring them. Apparently, something happened to some of the copies so, in my best interest, we decided to go home and get them. After our second trip via Metro to GW, we decided to stop at Union Station for lunch and to look around.
I also had a yoga class that evening, so I had over 16,000 steps by the end of the day.
Quick note: Received a call from the Doctor's office on 10/2. They think the mass is bone marrow.
