After coffee and a nice breakfast, Bruce disconnected the old battery and off we went in search of a new Interstate battery. Only two stops later, success. Close by too! Poor Bruce. Batteries are heavy and the position of the coach made it very difficult to lift the battery into the battery box. After a mighty acrobatic feat, he got the job done. Now off to do a little shopping and get the dust rinsed off the truck. Once that was done we went off in search of some local sights. As it is Memorial Day weekend it seemed quite appropriate we saw some awesome memorials. First, in a small park downtown was this pile of helmets. Each had the name of a fallen hero from WW II and the Korean War.
Also in this park was this stone with a poem to all fallen heroes
We moved on to Zane Landing, another closeby park where we found this statue.
There were more war memorials.
