A Week in the Life Of

Sunday, March 25 - Saturday, March 31, 2018

Busy week for us.  We went in search of a Letterbox on Sunday afternoon.

Driving past the site of the Georgetown Branch Trail.  Loved hiking on this trail.  Now it is the construction site for the Purple Line of the Metro.

Woke up Friday very worried about Cali.  She went out last night and didn't come home.  So we were up early looking for her.  Bruce swore he was hearing her cry somewhere around the RV.  We looked under it and up above the tires, even in the engine compartment.  Finally, I look up and about 25-30 feet above our heads there she was in a tree.  We tried everything to get her to climb down.  Even called the fire department, which by the way is a myth.  They recommended calling a tree service.  We waited, bribed her with treats, waited some more, tried to brace a plank from the top of the Rv.  Nothing worked.  Then with the help of Paul, our neighbor, they got the old rickety ladder we had and Bruce climbed up with her carrier.  She climbed right into the carrier and he lowered it down on a rope.  What a morning.  She was really scared.
