Today we did a Bucket List item.  Being Civil War history buffs, this has always been on our Bucket List.

We met at the Surrat House Museum to board the bus.  Our guide was Dave Taylor.  We were really lucky to get such a passionate tour guide.  He was dressed as Booth and had so much knowledge it was easy to believe he could have been on the original escape.  We found out he was recently married and his wife was a docent at the Mudd Farm and frequently plays roles with him in other presentations.

On to see Erich and Family in Sammamish, Washington.

We enjoyed a day with Jayan.  We went to the aquarium and then to Pike Place Market to see the fish being thrown.  Very crowded and only some smaller fish were thrown, but we did get some little donuts.

We all took a trip to see Snoqualmie Falls.

Las Vegas

Off to Vegas for our annual 3-card Poker Tournament. We are participating in another 3-card Poker Tournament at the Circus Circus.  We did things a bit different this year.  Decided to stay at Circus Circus only half of the time and at the Golden Gate on Freemont Stree for the second half.  Spent our free time around the strip.

We then moved downtown to the Golden Gate, Las Vegas' oldest hotel.

Really small room.

Had a Gin & Tonic.

Freemont Street is quite an experience.  Very adult.

We went to the Neon Boneyard Park to see the old neon signs.  This is a great museum.  So many of the old casinos have been torn down or upgraded.  After our tour there we attended the Brilliant Show.  This is an area where old (dead) neon signs come to life to music and the magic of laser lights.  Each bulb that was once neon was lit with a laser beam and they came to life right in front of our eyes.
