Wye Mills, MD

Just took a drive to get out of the house for a little while.  Along the way we stopped at the Grist Mill at Wye Mills, MD. This is the oldest continuously operated water powered grist mill in the U.S.  We had such a nice chat with the lady there.  Small town gossip and all.  Bought some whole wheat and also some grits.  Originally wanted to see what was at the site of the old Wye Oak.  This tree was believed to be over 400 years old.   We did see it years ago.  It toppled in a major storm June 6, 2002.  In it's place is a clone that was planted in the remains of the original trunk June 6, 2006.
