Great Falls, Virginia and Mexican Dinner

A beautiful sunny spring day.  We had to get out and enjoy it.  So we decided to go to Great Falls on the Virginia side.  We were not the only ones feeling that way, many Washingtonians were glad for a nice day to get out and enjoy nature.

Dinner at The Alamo with the Lofflers.  Turned out to be a birthday dinner for me.

Back to Pennsylvania.  We drove by the Shoe House (closed for the season) and followed some suggestions from Roadside America to a miniature Hatteras Lighthouse, and we found an old iron furnace, Codorus Furnace.

Terry and Camille Butler know someone that sets up winter dances with local bands at a closed for the winter swim center.  It is a bring your own everything and with a small cover charge, we have a great time getting together, listening to good bands, and dancing.  There are usually two each year, but we only managed to get to one this year.  Terry's brothers and their wives also attend so after a few shots of tequila at Terry's we are all off to a fun evening.
